To determine a property's register status, visit the NJ Historic Preservation Office (HPO) website. You can also utilize their platform, an online viewer for New Jersey’s cultural resources inventory.
If your site is part of a historic district, and not individually listed, you will need to determine if it is a contributing resource to the historic district. Sometimes this information can be found in the register nomination form. Some National Register nominations have been digitized and can be found in the .
