In Case of Emergency: Call 911

Call 911 if someone is experiencing a life-threatening situation:

  • Not Breathing
  • Is Unconscious
  • Is Bleeding Profusely
  • Is Seizing/Convulsing

Families with children with developmental, chronic medical or mental health needs should contact their Local Police/ to prepare an emergency services & response plan for their family's needs. 

When to Call 911 or 988


If there is a fire, a crime, or someone is in immediate danger.


If someone is having a medical emergency, has already hurt themselves or could hurt others.


If someone is having suicidal thoughts, is experiencing a mental health crises or a substance use crises.

When to Text 911 or 988

Text 911
is preferred.  Texting 911 is available if calling is not a safe option.
